Academic Requirements:

Diploma level courses generally require lesser average grades than that of a bachelor’s degree, with a general of 5-10 % difference in your secondary grades for the requirements.

The Masters admission in Australian universities are generally eligible after your 3 year graduation program (With some exception like Honors degrees). For most Universities, a good first degree from a leading university or its equivalent is essential.

In the process of application, from an academic perspective, you will need to provide details of your course subjects and individual grades. Applicants are also required to submit their official transcripts from their respective colleges or universities with the official grades, credits involved, details of the courses.

If you are applying for a degree in doctoral and post doctoral programs, you may also be required to provide relevant work experience certificates or letters, with complete work details: responsibilities and positions held. A detailed CV is also mandatory to submit.

Generally, you are required to submit :

  • Proof Of Identification
  • Secondary School Transcripts
  • School Certificates for Verification
  • Bachelor Degree / Provisional Certificate with Grade Sheets (For Masters)
  • Work Experience Certificates or Letters (For Masters)
  • GTE – Statement explaining why you are choosing a particular course in a particular university
  • A complete academic CV

English Proficiency Requirements:

As an international student applying for education in Australia, you will have to show proof of your English skills. The Australian Immigration Department only accepts IELTS tests, and universities have a list of the acceptable proficiency tests.

In the IELTS tests, generally you will need at least 6.5 average band score to get into a decent university and about 5.5 average band score to get enrolled in a college.

Application Requirements:

Along with your academic and English proficiency test results, you will also require a statement of purpose mentioning why you want to study in that particular university, with your goals, ambitions, hobbies, and extracurricular activities. You will also have to mention how you are going to financially manage your stay during your time in Australia.

A Letter of recommendation (generally two) from your teachers or your instructors is also required, highlighting your strengths weaknesses and why you would excel in field you are going to go to is also necessary.

Application Forms

You are recommended to start working on your application 12-14 months before the beginning of your studies, so if you plan to go on, say July 2022 intake, you should start planning your process from today. You can obtain the application forms generally in three ways:

  • Email: Request application forms from the university website via their emails (On the university websites).
  • Download Forms: Most universities websites provide downloadable and ready to print versions of their application forms. You can fill them out and submit them by scanning.

After applying to the universities and submitting the relevant documents, you can wait for about a week or two, after which you will get a reply from the university. During that time, you can go through the visa requirements by checking the Australia Government Department of Immigration’s official website.

As soon as you receive a Confirmation of Enrollment (CoE) from a particular university/institution, you can proceed to the visa application process, separating finances and other post application processes involved.
